  1. Emergency Automatic Recall

When the pilot loses consciousness, the computer will have to decide quickly on how best to handle the situation. Should there be contact with friendly jets nearby, the GCAS will take over and alert nearby pilots of a possible emergency with its own. During this phase, it will begin following another pilot in something I like to call a "Wingman Protocol", to best its chances of survival.

However, should it be find that there are no friendly pilots, or if it has been ordered to, it will begin calculating the best course to a designated rendezvous point to automatically land. This will hopefully save the life of the pilot, and keep the jet for another day.

The downside to a system like this is the fact that it can be used offensively by the enemy. If you are able to find a backdoor, the computer system could be used to force a retreat. There should be a manual override, but that then leaves the pilot possibly vulnerable to the conventional dangers of no emergency backup autopilot.

  2. ill support being housed and exposed as unum and when i go out im followed and brought back in cuffs if i take to long to play the part i will feel safer that way since i or E was seen as corrupted

  3. Stop fear mongering to build a machine that kills more faster. It's time to reduce funding to the Pentagon and apply it to improving people's lives, like fresh water out of the tap and healthy food at low prices and not just adequate, but excellent education for all. Did I mention health care?

  4. A human pilot adds 1/3 to the weight of an aircraft. AI adds the weight of a phone. Removing the pilot allows an aircraft to be 2/3 the weight of an equivalent aircraft. If you consider he extra weight of a larger engine and fuel for 1/3 the extra weight you should be able to cut the weight to 1/2 the weight of an equivalent aircraft. That with the limitations that a pilot adds to fighter capabilities. Now think of the lower cost to manufacture, to maintain, to train pilots, logistics. Drones are the clear winners. This advantage is 2x to 5x for sea based aircraft. For space the advantage will be at least 10x and maybe 100x. The human is the the weak link.

  5. dont know why they still havent done yet r/c fighters and military vehicles
countless benefits, yeah, drones, but fighter-size, tank-sized, submarine-sized

  6. In air combat training, the f16 defeated the f35 on offense and defense. The f35 turkey is welfare for aircraft industry. This is exactly the sort of graft that Eisenhower warned America to beware of. One f35 costs billions of wasted dollars for an inferior plane.

  7. Humans are better bc if the AI don't have the coding to know what to do, then it's probably going to fail. Where if the mission changes for a human, we can adapt and change on the go.

  8. An AI controlled aircraft will always outperform a human controlled one. No limitations on G forces for the AI. At most 9 G's is all a human can withstand. F35 is capable of pulling 16-18 G's.

  9. We are sooooo fucked. Peas and rice just build a hydrogen fueled car or something. Do … SOMETHING … for the benefit of mankind for a fucking change. Most likely it will just be used to fire on the American People when human pilots wont.

  10. Omg. Think of what could be done with all this money to feed and house and educate people. Instead we have to fight among each other. It's just so sad. We should be putting money into clean energy research and space travel research if we want to pursue technology
