The positive is for those who have voice disorders, selective mutism, are recovering from throat surgery, or for someone who has a hard time talking due to autism.
While there’s still time, if possible; they could (and should) limit this to only mimic english speakers and maybe add Russian, Mandarin and German to that, for “balance”.
This is cool and really mind-blowing, but I think that in the long-run, the ‘use vs misuse’ of this tool could (very likely) weigh a lot more towards the ‘misuse’.
What I mean is; you can cause a lot(!) of damage with software like this!
Why limit: although it’s probably nearly impossible to prevent vocal synthesizers being developed for different languages, evading with different languages could still be a very useful legitimizer.

Listen I've thought about this for the longest time. Would it be legal to replicate the voices of famous actors to voice in your projects? But you would never state that they are affiliated with the project, they're just people who may sound like those people. Don't get the wrong idea here, I don't plan on actually going through with this plan, I just wanted to know.
